GWFLOW for Windows is a program that consists of a number of analytical models for the simulation of steady-state and transient one- and two-dimensional and radial-symmetric ground water flow.   It is based on a program that was written in the early 1980s for use in the DOS environment. This version is completely rewritten in Microsoft Visual Basic and has been expanded with additional analytical models.  The current version include three groups of models: well hydraulics, drains and trenches, and ground water mounding due to recharge. The program also includes a model describing the effect of ground water pumping on streams. The program aims to let the user quickly obtain numeric results for various ground water variables, such as head, drawdown, and discharge rates, and to be able to quickly assess the sensitivity of a variable for changes in assumptions with respect to parameters. The program does not include graphics, nor does it has tabular output, or a 'save-to-file' option.

GWPLUME2D for Windows consists of two analytical models for two-dimensional, horizontal, non-conservative solute transport in ground water.  One model assumes an instantaneous release of a contaminant at the source, while the other model assumes a continuous release. The models include advection, dispersion, retardation and first-order decay.  It is assumed that the aquifer is homogeneous with respect to the flow and transport properties and that the ground water flow is one-dimensional and uniform (i.e., not influenced by the injection of the contaminant).  The program calculates the concentration at a single observation well as result of  injection of a trace amount of a chemical constituent in a single location (i.e., the source). The source is located in the origin and is fully penetrating the aquifer. Source release is equally distributed across the length of the injection well. The program is written to quickly calculate some concentrations and does not include graphics, tabular output, or a 'save-to-file' option.

SOLUTE1D for Windows contains a set of analytical solutions for the one-dimensional and radial-symmetrical simulation of the migration of solutes in ground water. The models include advective and dispersive transport, retardation and first-order decay. It is assumed that the ground water flow is uniform (i.e., uni-directional flow), and that the aquifer is homogeneous with respect to the transport parameters. The results can be viewed in tabular and graphic form and can be exported as a tab-delimited text file.
